Neolithic Axe Head
Dublin Core
Title
Neolithic Axe Head
Description
This polished axe head has been perforated to enable it to be hafted to a shaft of wood or bone. The perforation would have been made by using a rotary drill, presumably driven by a bow. This example, which has been broken, was ploughed up near Scarrabus Farm. Size: 110 mm x 55 mm. Location found: Scarrabus, NR348652
