Description
A stone bowl with a handle. Used as a light source. Fish oil, or other type of liquid fat, was put in the bowl and a wick into the oil. The wick was lit at the end, burning the oil as it was drawn up the wick. The bowl was found in Borgarfjörður in East Iceland. By that time the handle was broken off but was repaired by the finder.
