The design on the front face of the stone is in complex relief,. There are two rows of figures visible, although only the top or bottom half of each row can be seen. The upper row shows five churchmen in richly decorated robes, the first carrying a crozier, the second a set of scales, the third a scourge, the fourth an unidentified item (possibly a harp), and the fifth, another crozier. All that can be seen of the lower row of figures is their hooded heads. The other three faces of the stone have been completely defaced.
